1. Score Tool (No Account Required)

When you use the AI Risk Score tool without creating an account:

• No personally identifiable information is collected.
• No cookies are placed for tracking purposes.
• No advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or fingerprinting technologies are used.
• Job title and optional employer context are stored anonymously to generate your score. This data cannot be linked back to you.

2. Account Data

When you create an account, we collect and process:

• Account information: name and email address, managed securely through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Profile data: job title, years in profession, employer size, employer AI maturity level.
• Engagement data: check-in answers and go-deeper responses, stored to compute dimension scores and refine the Orune Brief.
• Usage data: brief views and days active, used solely to improve your experience.

We do not collect exact financial figures. Financial context, if added in future features, will be stored as ranges by default as a privacy-by-design measure.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Generate the Orune Brief and dimension scores.
• Track score changes over time.
• Improve the accuracy and relevance of our educational content.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Authentication is managed by Clerk with industry-standard security practices.
• All connections use HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Dimension scores and check-in inputs are retained to preserve your historical trajectory, which is a core part of the value we provide.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personally identifiable data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked to you may be retained for model improvement.

Score tool data (anonymous job title scores) is retained indefinitely as it contains no personally identifiable information.

6. Cookies

Orune uses cookies only for authentication purposes. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) sets session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you.
• Request that we delete your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell data).
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU Residents)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Restrict or object to our processing of your data.

9. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the platform:

• Clerk: authentication and user management.
• Neon: database hosting.
• Vercel: application hosting.

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We select providers that meet industry security standards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
