Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Here's what matters

  • Orune is an educational tool, not a financial or career advisor.
  • The product is free. There is no paid tier, no trial, no hidden upgrade.
  • We use publicly available data from O*NET and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • Scores reflect general trends, not predictions about your individual outcome.
  • Before making financial, career, or legal decisions, consult a qualified professional.

1. Nature of the Service

Orune is an educational platform designed to help professionals understand and navigate the AI economic transition. All content, scores, assessments, and outputs provided through the Service are for educational and informational purposes only.

Orune is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, career counselor, tax advisor, or legal advisor. Nothing on this platform constitutes personalized financial, investment, career, tax, or legal advice.

2. How Scores and Assessments Work

The Orune AI Risk Score and related assessments are based on:

  • Publicly available occupational data from the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET database and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
  • Published academic and industry research on AI's impact on occupations and labor markets.
  • Computational models that synthesize this public information into educational scores and assessments.

These scores reflect general trends derived from publicly available data. They do not guarantee accuracy for any individual's specific situation, employer, geographic market, or career trajectory.

3. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive to provide useful educational content based on reliable data sources, Orune makes no warranty or guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or applicability of any score, assessment, or content to your individual circumstances. The AI economy is evolving rapidly, and no model can predict individual outcomes with certainty.

4. Consult Qualified Professionals

Before making any financial, investment, career, tax, or legal decisions, consult with qualified professionals who can evaluate your individual circumstances. Orune is a complement to professional advice, never a substitute for it.

  • For financial and investment decisions, consult a licensed financial advisor or fiduciary.
  • For tax matters, consult a certified public accountant (CPA) or tax attorney.
  • For legal matters, consult a licensed attorney.
  • For career decisions, consult a qualified career counselor or coach.

5. Data Practices for the Score Tool

When using the AI Risk Score tool (without creating an account):

  • No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.
  • No cookies are placed for tracking purposes.
  • No behavioral tracking beyond anonymous score generation.
  • Job title and optional employer context are stored anonymously. This data cannot be linked back to you as an individual.

6. Data Practices for Account Holders

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Account information: name and email address, managed through our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Profile data: job title, years in profession, employer size, and employer AI maturity level.
  • Engagement data: check-in answers and dimension scores, used to refine the Orune Brief over time.

We do not collect exact financial figures. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on the educational content provided.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its scoring methodology, content, design, and technology, is owned by Orune and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use of your own scores and assessments.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Orune and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service.
  • Any decisions made based on educational content provided by the Service.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

10. CCPA and GDPR Compliance

Orune is committed to complying with applicable data protection regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). See our Privacy Policy for full details on your rights under these regulations.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
